Joe began his career as a recording engineer in the heart of the Hollywood music scene. As a long time practitioner of tai chi and chi gong, he was immediately drawn to the healing arts of Traditional Chinese Medicine when he one day realized a career change was imminent.
Since receiving his Masters of Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College, Joe has developed a family medicine practice, having had success treating patients of all ages for a variety of ailments and conditions. His areas of specialty include pain management, Chinese herbal medicine (internal medicine), complimentary oncological care, dermatology and stress management. He currently leads tai chi classes, and conducts lectures for novice and professional audiences alike. Combining his knack for listening and making others laugh, there is nothing he enjoys more than introducing a skeptical or nervous patient to the profound and relaxing effects of acupuncture for the first time.
